Emirates A380 Showers in First Class

Emirates
A380 First Class Showers are one of the features of Emirates A380 that set it
apart from both Singapore Airlines A380 and the upcoming Qantas A380; and I
have to admit they have really excelled at taking the next step and positioning
Emirates as one of the most if not the most luxurious airline in the world.

 

 

First class
passengers will be able to shower for up to 5 minutes each, with a warning
light system alerting the showering passenger that they are getting close to
the end of their 5 minute allocation. It’s not yet known if your shower
automatically cuts out after you reach the 5 minute limit or if your shower
suddenly gets cold, from the flight attendant turning on the hot water tap in
the galley, we also wonder if first class passengers get an additional shower
or more time if the first class cabin is not fully occupied with passengers.

    Getting ahead of ourselves a tad aren’t we?

    Firstly, 5 minutes is not long for a shower even though it is appreciated.

    Secondly, the Singapore Airlines Suites features an armchair and also a fully flat mattress with bed linen and plush cushions from Givenchy.

    Emirates’ Business Class speaks for itself and the Economy Class is as expected.

    The EK A380 beats the Qantas A380 for sure. However, the SIA A380 just edges out the EK A380 in terms of quality, personal space, and holistic product offering, even when we’re only considering the hardware.

    I too agree 5 minute shower is not long enough, but it is 5 minutes longer than any other airline, and I for one would welcome it after after waking up or an hour or two before touching down at my destination.

    As for SIA edgng out EK I dont agree, where is the bar and lounge on SIA’s A380 and the EK A380 F cabin looks on par if not better than SIAs. The only feature I see SIA having over EK is the double suites.

    Business Class I would prefer however to fly with SIA their Chair is so much wider.

    In reality I love flying SIA and won’t mind flying EK either, they are both great airlines with a great cabin product.

    Brian makes interesting points but the contradict.

    The majority of your time will be spent in your seat. To this end, Singapore Airlines offers a Business Class with a space that you can sprawl yourself across. Given this is a world of choices, I would prefer to have my own large personal space rather than a bar (the staff on SIA are very friendly and will get drinks on request).

    Also the Business Class seat on Emirates is 18.5″ wide. That is actually not much wider if not the same width as their Economy product.

    First Class on Emirates is obviously good and on Singapore Airlines is even better what with the mattress and the service.
