All-business class airline Eos is
offering bonus frequent flyer points for tickets booked by December 31, and for
travel completed by February 29, 2008.
As well as regular base points,
passengers will be able to earn up to triple bonus points on the Club 48
frequent flyer programme.
An additional 15,000 points can
be gained for return tickets costing less than $2,000 (£1,000) one-way, and
30,000 can be gained for those priced at more than $2,000.
Eos, which flies from London
Stansted to New York JFK Airport, describes Club 48 as a very ‘un-airline’-like
programme. Members are able to use points to buy luxury items and gift
certificates for retailers such as Harrods and John Lewis, and to spend points
for travel on all major airlines “anywhere, anytime – with no blackout
dates”.
To book these discounts, members
can tell an Eos representative what flight they want, and the price of the trip
is converted into Club 48 points.
Eos points are worth one US cent
each, meaning passengers can earn (for example) a $300 Barneys New York
shopping spree after four flights.
