Jetstar today announced that it would be offering customers
the option of paying for their flights with the world’s largest online payment
service provider PayPal.
Media sources at Jetstar have told the Business Travel Guru
that airline is expected to start Paypal payments within the next two weeks,
in addition would be no additional charges for using Jetstar’s PayPal payment option.
Commercial Officer David Koczkar
said the proposed new partnership would
provide Jetstar customers with an additional fresh, fast and convenient payment
method via Jetstar’s award winning website, Jetstar.com
“Along with our
commitment to offer our customers every day low fares, Jetstar is constantly
looking for innovative ways to make online bookings on Jetstar.com more
convenient,” Mr Koczkar said.
“Our airline group
remains consistent in being a long time industry leader in providing greater
choice and convenience to air travellers when purchasing their flights online.”
Director, Frerk-Malte Feller said, “When
customers turn to the web to book their holidays they are seeking fast, convenient
and transparent experiences. A
partnership with PayPal will provide Jetstar customers with another hassle free
payment option that provides greater choice of funding. The goal is to make booking your holiday as
stress free as possible,” he said.
We think the Jetstar PayPal payment option is great news
giving passengers more options, and not charging for it.
