Terminal 3, this co-insides with SkyTeam’s move
yesterday to Terminal 4

SYDNEY, 29 OCTOBER 2009: Qantas today transferred its London Heathrow
operations from Terminal 4 to Terminal 3.
Qantas Executive Manager International Sales Stephen Thompson said
Qantas services to and from Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Australia have
moved from London Heathrow Terminal 4 to Terminal 3.
“London Heathrow Terminal 3
has undergone a multi-million pound transformation to modernise the terminal,” Mr
“We are pleased to now offer
our customers dedicated Qantas check-in areas, a host of restaurant and retail
outlets, and for our premium customers, new lounges including the Galleries
Club (Business) and Galleries First.
“The new Galleries Club offers a
Wine Gallery, Deli Bar, Coffee House, News Zone, Work and Entertainment Zone
and a Kids Zone. The Silver Bar sits under a specially commissioned Swarovski crystal
chandelier and the Wine Gallery offers a comprehensive choice of unique and
prestigious wines. The Coffee House offers fine ground coffee and a selection
of whole leaf teas.
“The Galleries First Lounge
also houses a Wine Gallery, Coffee House, News Zone, Work and Entertainment
Zone, Kids Zone and seats up to 250 guests. The Gold Bar is also lit by a
Swarovski crystal chandelier and a separate Champagne Bar offers a selection of
the finest white and rose
champagnes. All day dining and
three-course meals are also provided in the Galleries First Lounge.

3 is also a oneworld preferred terminal which means quicker and easier transfers
for Qantas passengers connecting onto oneworld partner flights.”
London Heathrow Terminal 3 offers dedicated Qantas check-in areas, with
Economy in Zone F and First, Business and Premium Economy in Zone G and will
soon provide a Common User Self Service (CUSS) kiosk check-in enabling
customers to check-in, select or change their seats, and print their
boarding pass. A dedicated bag drop counter will be available for
customers to drop bags and complete visa checks.
Frequent coach or
rail shuttle services operate between Terminals 1, 2, 4 and 5 for flight connections.
