SkyTeam has opened a shared
facility at Barcelona’s Terminal 1, which will cater for 8 SkyTeam alliance
airlines in total and include 28 Check-in desks & 6 self service
The 8 SkyTeam alliance airlines
that will operate from Barcelona’s Terminal 1 include, Air Europa, Air France,
Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines and KLM Royal Dutch Airline.

SkyTeam, the global airline
alliance, will unveil its brand new state-of-the-art customer focused facility
at Terminal 1 Barcelona El Prat International airport on Sunday 25 October.
This is the first time that the alliance has operated out of a common location
in Spain and the new facility brings together eight SkyTeam carriers allowing
passengers to choose from over 40 nonstop destinations including Paris, Rome,
New York and Moscow.
The SkyTeam move to Terminal 1 is
the final phase of Aeropuertos Espanoles y Naviegacion Aerea’s (AENA) airport
In the new Terminal 1, the
SkyTeam partners, namely Aeroméxico, Aeroflot, Air Europa, Air France,
Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines,
will share airport services including 28 check-in desks, six SkyTeam
self-service kiosks and bag drop-off locations. Delta Air Lines, Air France and
KLM also have their own co-branded ticket office in the check-in area as part
of their joint venture partnership. For premium class, SkyTeam Elite and Elite
Plus passengers, the member airlines also have three dedicated check-in desks
as well as offer access to two airport lounges, Pau Casals and Miro, offering a
wide range of facilities.
“The new SkyTeam terminal provides significantly easier flight
connections, better facilities at check-in, as well as an extensive flight
network to choose from,” says Gordon Humphreys,
