United Airlines has released the following statement
in relation to flight cancellations and schedule changes due to Volcanic ash
from the Iceland Volcano Eruption.

Volcanic ash clouds over the North Atlantic
are resulting in the closure of several European airports and the cancellation
of thousands of flights worldwide. As a result, United has canceled a number of
flights between the United States and Europe through the weekend. We recognize
flight cancellations are inconvenient, but your safety and the safety of our
crews and aircraft are our highest priorities.
Travel waivers are in
place, and United is attempting to rebook ticketed customers, whose flights
have been canceled, on the next departing United flight with available seats.
You can confirm whether
your flight has been canceled using the Flight Status function below. You may
also confirm whether you have been automatically rebooked, and you may be able
to change your new reservation or check in for your new flight. Instructions
If your travel plans are
impacted by this situation and you decide to cancel or reschedule your trip
instead of continuing travel, you may be eligible for a refund of any unused
portion of your ticket.
