If you
are lucky enough to own either an Amex Platinum or Centurion Black card, your
membership has just become a little sweeter. American Airlines and Amex
have partnered up to offer all owners of these cards access to all 44 of
American Airlines Admirals Club lounges when flying that day with American
Airlines.
Access to
American Airlines Admirals Club now further builds on Amex’s airport club
access program giving card holders access to 125 partner club lounges such as Continental
Airlines Presidents Club®, Delta Crown Room Club®, and Northwest Airlines
WorldClubs®
This
announcement is great news as I and several friends have been debating getting
an Amex Platinum card for a little while now, and this benefit might just be enough
for me to fork the few extra hundred dollars.
“Our
Card members are passionate about travel and enjoy receiving access and
benefits through their American Express Cards that enhance their experiences,
such as our popular Airport Club Access Program,” said Simon Kahn, vice
president, Platinum and Centurion Product Management. “American Airlines is a
wonderful addition to the program, adding yet another valuable reason to carry
the Platinum or Centurion Cards.”
"American
Airlines continues to strengthen our premium product and global network,
including opening eight new Admirals Club lounges in the past two years," said Nancy Knipp, President
Admirals Club for American Airlines. "We believe American Express
Platinum and Centurion Card members will enjoy the amenities we have to offer
and we look forward to welcoming them both on the ground and in the air."
