San Francisco Mayor
Gavin Newsom has launched two Clear enrolment
stations at San Francisco International Airport, in advance of Clear’s
introduction of fast pass lanes at San Francisco International airport next
month.
The new enrolment stations located in Terminals one and
three operate between 5 am and 10 pm every day, and are expected to be expanded
throughout San Francisco International terminal this fall.
"Now passengers at San Francisco
International Airport can take advantage of Clear's airport security fast-pass
program, an offering that combines technology and good customer service,” said Mayor Gavin Newsom. "The service will help
participating travelers speed through checkpoints safely and securely."
"We're delighted that the City of San Francisco has pushed
for this cutting-edge innovation for its frequent fliers," said
Steven Brill, founder and CEO of Clear. "San
Francisco is a major international and national gateway for millions of Bay
Area business travelers and it is an important addition to the Clear
network."
Brill added, "We have already seen
enrollment in the Clear program spike on the announcement of San Francisco's
desire to launch a program. Now that it is a reality, enrollments across the
country and especially in the region have accelerated. Given the tremendous
demand from area businesses, which are providing the Clear card for their
travelers, San Francisco, like San José, will be among our top enrollment
airports in the country."
The Clear program which provides its member’s expedited entry
into the US via it registered traveller lanes at selected US airports,
currently has in excess of 55,000 registered members throughout the US.
Membership costs US$99, and slightly less if you are a U.S. Government employee
