Bidding has started in the Singapore Airlines A380 eBay auction

Bidding has got off to a great start for seats on Singapore Airlines first commercial flight of the Airbus A380 from Singapore to Sydney on 25 of October 2007.

This first allotment of seats has just over 4 days to run before bidding ends and already there has been a maximum bid of US$5,000 for a single economy seat, and US$8000 for a single Business Class seat. This is just a glimpse of what will be seen, come the end of the auction, when bids will be going thru the roof.

In addition to auctioning seats Singapore Airlines will be releasing during the bidding period a limited number of Buy it now seats, which will give the general public a chance to purchase seats at a pre set price. These Buy It Now seats will be released throughout the two week auction period and I am guessing will be the best opportunity for anyone looking to purchase it at a reasonable price. You never know Singapore Airlines may just release some seats with a very low Buy it Now price.

Now If you are interested being the first to try Singapore Airlines A380 Suite, there is currently a buy it now item for a Two suite package, which also includes a personal invitation to the A380 delivery celebrations in Toulouse, France, return first class tickets to Singapore to attend the inaugural flight, and complimentary accommodation in Singapore and Sydney. The Buy it Now price on this package is set at US$380,000. Check out the Singapore Airlines eBay Auction A380 Suite package

It’s still not too late to register for an eBay account or Pre-Qualify for the Singapore Airlines A380 eBay auction, as seats will be progressively released over the next two weeks.

EBay is a fascinating place.

Just last week, a housewife and mother-of-six sold a set of Pokeman cards that her kids had snuck into the grocery cart - for $142.51! Of course, it was probably the hysterically funny story she posted, explaining about the joys of grocery shopping with six kids, that caused the auction to go viral.

It will be interesting to see how high the bids go on the Singapore flight. 'Ya never know with eBay. When I first started on eBay the hot-selling item was a clock made out of dried "cow patties"! It's true!

At least the winner of the Airbus tickets won't have to worry about any strange odors, I hope!
