Hong Kong Airline and Cathy Pacific subsidiary Dragonair is
welcomed as Oneworlds newest member airline from November 1 2007, which will further expand the reach of the OneWorld
network by adding Kota Kinabalu, Phnom Penh, Phuket and the following 12
Chinese mainland cities:
Chongqing, Changsha, Chengdu, Fuzhou, Haikou, Kunming,
Guilin, Ningbo, Nanjing, Shenyang, Sanya and Wuhan.
Oneworld managing partner, John McCulloch highlighted the
advantages for members wishing to travel between China and other destinations:
“With Dragonair, Cathay Pacific and the
Hong Kong hub, it means that oneworld will offer the best quality airline
service for travel to or from the whole of China.”
Dragonair was established in 1998 will be OneWorld’s 11th
carrier, making OneWorld the third largest Airlines Alliance behind. OneWorlds network to/from mainland China will now be 22 cities after Dragonair's membership to the OneWorld Alliance.

network of destinations in Mainland China, along with the other business and
leisure destinations we serve within the Asia Pacific region,” added Dragonair CEO, Kenny Tang.
