Singapore Airlines takes delivery of its second Airbus A380

Singapore Airlines takes delivery of second Airbus A380: Singapore Airlines the proud owner of the first Airbus A380 to go into commercial operation has now taken delivery of its second Airbus A380.

Singapore Airlines Second Airbus A380 is fitted with the same configuration as its first with seating for 471 passengers over three classes (Singapore Airlines Suite, Business Class and Economy)

Singapore Airlines plans to put their second A380 in rotation with their first aircraft which services the Singapore Sydney route. Late February Singapore Airlines is expected to take delivery of their 3rd of 17 Airbus A380s which will be used to service Singapore Airlines Singapore to London (Heathrow) route.

This can only be good news for frequent flyers on Singapore Airlines Singapore Sydney route, after minor damage was sustained by Singapore Airlines first A380 a week ago, forcing passengers to swap planes for a different aircraft. I can only imagine those taking that route on Singapore Airlines for the for the first time would have been deeply disappointed.
