With Emirates new A380 cabin expected to be
revealed just before or possibly not until its first flight on the 1st
of August 2008, the big question is what can we expect from their cabin?
Going by what is publically released about Emirates
A380 and looking at what Emirates have done with the cabin product already
rolled out on some of their Boeing 777 aircraft, we can get a fairly good
picture of Emirates A380 cabin when it is finally revealed.
To start with Emirates plan on 3 different
cabin configurations as follows:
Low
density long range Emirates A380
Total Passengers: 489 Passengers across 3
classes
14 First Class suites 76 Business Class
Seats and 399 Economy Class seats
Will service long range destinations such
as Dubai to New York and Dubai to Sydney
Low
density medium range Emirates A380
Total Passengers 517 across 3 classes
To service routes such as Dubai to London
High
density medium range Emirates A380
Total Passengers 644 across 2 classes
To service routes such as Dubai to India
and Thailand
The above pictures are of the new first
class suite and business class seat on Emirates 777 aircraft, their A380 cabin
design may or may not follow this design, what ever the final desing I am sure it will surpasses what is shown above, just for the simple fact that first class will have showers. Just looking at what is available to day in Emirates 777, Singapore Airlines have
already lost the title of the world’s most luxurious first class suite, if you’re
not totally convinced yet, take the video tour of Emirates Boeing 777-200LR,
its simply breath taking.

On a
Final note it is not yet known if Emirates will run with center row suites that
convert into a double suite/bed. I and many industry experts are saying no but
we won’t know until more details are announced.
