Emirates A380 electrical issues caused by first class showers?

Rumours are rife that last weeks grounding of Emirates first and only Airbus A380 because of unspecified electrical problems was actually due to its first class showers, and a possible leak.

Members of a popular travel forum have hinted that the problem may be caused because of a water leak around shower area below the location of one of the aircrafts two showers and it’s because of this moisture that the aircraft was grounded.

Late last month Emirates confirmed the delivery date of its second A380 had slipped also due to unspecified electrical issues, since the delivery date of Qantas’s first A380 (which by the way does not have on-board showers) did not slip, also as aircraft showers are a new technology which aircraft makers and outfitters are still refining the technology of this rumour may actually have some weight.

But then again this could all turn out to be someone’s funny idea of a joke, either way BizTravelGuru is looking further into this issue and will post more information when it comes to hand.
