Air France has released details of the first flight of it
Airbus A380 aircraft along with some basic cabin configuration details.
The first Air France A380 will service the Paris to New York
route with the maiden flight taking place Friday 20 November 2009, and the
return leg New York to Paris departing Saturday 21 November 2009.
If you are after a seat on the inaugural Air France A380
flight, Air France just as Singapore Airlines did, are auctioning tickets for both
legs of the flight on eBay with proceeds going to charity. Head over to http://af380.com to participate in the auction.
The Air France A380 will in total seat 538 passengers with
the upper deck seating 80 Affaires (Business Class) and 106 Voyageur (Economy
Class) seats, and on the lower deck with 9 Air France Premiere (First Class)
Seats and another 343 Voyageur (Economy Class) seats.
For fans of premium economy unfortunately the first Air
France A380 will not include the newly launched Air France Premium Voyageur (Premium
Economy) cabin, however Air France have publically stated they do intend to outfit
& operate an Air France A380 Premium Voyageur cabin in the near future.
As yet no Air France A380 Interior cabin pictures have been
released yet, and we here The Business Travel Guru think Air France will keep
this under wraps until just before the first flight. As you would expect after
the first flight there will be a flurry pictures from fans and enthusiasts
posted all over the internet.
