Comfort for sleeping was great considering this is not a lie flat bed. The seat pitch on Qantas A380 Premium Economy varies between (37") Center or (42") Side seats. So if you have the choice pick the Side seats.

It dam sure beats economy by a mile and the service is quite good in addition the beverage menu should be the same as for Business.

I personally appreciate the design and very tasteful classic cabins that Air France offers on its A380s. The colors are well chosen (the choice of a sand color for First class and grey/creme for Business are perfect and add to the luxury of the seats). Emirates and Singapore are too ostentatious and too gaudy, especially Emirates (too much gold and flashy colors evrywhere is a "bit much").

Great list! You've got some of the best on there. I would agree with the Peninsula in Tokyo, but would also add the Peninsula in Hong Kong. It's one of the most amazing hotels I've ever been in.

the USB is for dowloading maps & tourist information of where you are going. They have info for you to download. You can buy the 8 gig usb's on board for like $35 if you do not have one with you.

Yeah Emirates airlines has screwed who were loyal to them. Now they give the skywards miles by this promotion or that. Please have a look, you will be getting only the saver base miles and all other are some kind of Bonus. the thier will be very low. like a DXB - JFK earned you approx 16K miles earlier, now will earn you 7K miles on a return trip

Great post. Sounds just like every word you wrote, perfect. However Qantas was the 2nd airline worldwide to take delivery of the A380. As a big fan of Qantas I follow their every move.

Hello Ben,

I am a Canadian living in Thailand and travel around the region for business a considerable amount. I only have Canadian citizenship, Thai citizenship is incredibly difficult to obtain.

The application says "Home Economy" using my business interests in Thailand, is it possible to obtain an Apec card on this or do I need a passport from a participating country?

I think Air France is no match for the design and luxury offered by Emirates and Singapore Airlines. These 2 are just unbeatable when it comes to the A380
