Upgrading from Economy to Premium Economy

Hi, I was just wondering if anybody knew how I would go about upgrading from Economy to Premium Economy on a Qantas flight from Sydney to London. I will be in Australia for 3 months and it is likely that i will have enough money on my return to the UK to upgrade to Premium Economy, I am not a frequent flyer and subsequently don't have points, so would i just contact Qantas a short while before my flight to upgrade?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks.

Re: Upgrading from Economy to Premium Economy

If you want to upgrade your flight without points, you should really contact your travel agent or Qantas asap to enquire about the cost to have that flight changed to Premium Economy, note unlike the Jetstar StarClass upgrade for $200-$300 on departure you wont be getting a cheap upgrade, you will at least be paying the difference between what you payed for your economy ticket and the Premium Economy ticket price.

    Regards

If given a chance and I could afford it would go for it for comfort reasons. Although i probably wouldn't leave to last minute as those seats mighten be available then. It would be better to ring the airline as soon as possible and ask them what is the best thing to do. Ask them if there is any fees that occur by slightly altering your ticket. Have a great holiday.
