Hi all, couple of Questions if I may.

I have been a Krisflyer member for about 3 years. Earlier this year I had just enough miles to get a BKK - BNE return flight. (online redemption saving 15%)

Unfortunately, I was not in a position to use the miles, and actually forgot about them. I then started to loose some miles each month bringing down my total miles way under the required amount.

I have just done another trip to BNE with a return to BKK shortly. This will put my miles back to nearly the required miles I will need to do another BKK - BNE flight in March 2008. (55K minus the 15% discount for online redemption)

My questions are.... are taxes and surcharges on a redeemed flight payable, or are they included in that free flight ?

                        ...... if I have expiring miles in the month I wish to take my free flight, but booked prior to that month, still be counted ?

As this will be my first time trying to use my miles, any info on the above (or any other useful info) would be greatly appriciated

SIA have recently changed their expiry policy now expiring miles that are 3 years old at the end of every month insted of every quater.

Yes unfortunatly there will be taxes/surcharges most notabily the YQ/YR Fuel Tax/Surcharge.

As for using your points, you just need to book the award flight before the points expire, so you will be fine.
