The APEC Business Travel Card is one of the best investments I have made, for a start there is no messing around having to apply and pay for Business Visas in the leadup to a trip OS, which is obviously a big saving both in terms of time and money, but just as valuable is access to the Prioriy Customs and Immigration lanes, which at times in certain countries (China, Indonesia & Vietnam) can save a lot of time.

In Australia the cost of the 3 year scheme has just been raised from AU$150 to AU$200, even at this price it is still a great investment.

Yes the APEC business travel card has been invaluable for me, so much so I don't remember how I lived without it, The US, Canada, Mexico, and Russia are apparently looking into offically participating in the scheme. I am hopeing its sooner rather than later, as a lot of my business trips are into North America.

Membership of the scheme has a few major benifits, as follows:

• Card holders receieve pre-approval to enter the 19+ participating APEC Business Travel Card countries (automatic visa on arrival)
• APEC Business Travel Card is valid for 3 years so no need to apply for a business visa each business trip
• Access to APEC/Air Crew/Diplomatic customs/immigration lanes at most major APEC airports, this means by passing long queues.
